DAVID F. DEAN, PROGRAMMING ADMINISTRATOR
Corrections Programming/Planning
David brings 24 years of specialized experience in correctional facility planning to the team. His involvement in the corrections field began in 1982 with his participation in a comprehensive survey of all the buildings at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman. The survey encompassed 20 old and new buildings at the Parchman prison complex, detailing such things as facility history, life safety code compliance, building classification, security level, space analysis and staffing demands. Working in conjunction with the Mississippi State Bureau of Building, he authored the survey report, the 1982 Incarceration Facilities Plan for the State of Mississippi. The Incarceration Facilities Plan document was presented to the Mississippi Legislature, and served as the basis for the planning and development of State prisons throughout the 1980's and early 1990's. David has continued his involvement in the corrections field, preparing planning studies for numerous state, county and city entities which allow them to make an accurate assessment of their facility needs. His correctional facility programming/planning background includes the following projects.
