Joining the firm in January 1968, Richard became a partner in 1974, and has served as President and managing principal since 1977. Richard combines leadership and management skills with a passionate quest for design excellence, and serves as Principal-in-Charge of Design on all of the firm's major projects. A proven ability to blend his own personal design talent and influence with the combined abilities of other talented staff designers has resulted in numerous awards for design excellence.

Richard has served as Principal-in-Charge of design on projects with construction value in excess of one billion dollars. He has extensive experience in the design of a wide range of project types for federal, state, county and municipal entities as well as numerous major corporate and private clients. Richard has demonstrated the ability to effectively manage and design projects encompassing complicated programming considerations, and to carry these projects through to completion while adhering to the constraints of budget and project schedules. He is a registered architect currently licensed in 31 states and has over 38 years of experience.

      

Kenny Oubre

KENNETH A. OUBRE, AIA, CSI
Head of Retail Architecture/Store Planning

Education: Associate Degree/Hinds Community College

CAREER DATA:

Kenny's career spans 25 years. He has extensive experience in a wide range of project types, but his primary focus has been the development of various scales and types of retail buildings, particularly department stores, throughout the United States. He has played a major role in the planning and design of over 75 major retail projects in 20 states with a construction value in excess of $350 million.

Kenny has served as Senior Project Manager/Project Manager on department stores for the following retail store chains: SAKS Fifth Avenue, McRae's, Proffitt's, Younkers, Herberger's, Parisian, Carson Pirie Scott and Belk.

Tim Geddie

TIMOTHY G. GEDDIE, AIA, Allied Member ASID
Head of Interior Architecture/Design

Education: Bachelor of Architecture/Mississippi State University

CAREER DATA:

Tim has 12 years experience, having joined the firm following a decade of experience with architectural and interior design firms in Washington, D.C. and Jackson, MS. His talent and experience in both disciplines make him especially suited to his role as head of interior architecture/design for DDA, and in this role Tim shows his adeptness at blending interior architecture with the design of interior finishes and furnishings. His background of experience is varied and includes the the following recent projects:

Lane Home Furnishings (developed prototype store and new store design and renovations in Texas, Alabama and Florida)
Wachovia Securities (renovation of investment offices throughout the southeastern United States)
Holiday Isle Tower, Destin Florida, (interior renovation of public spaces in major condominium)
Woolfolk State Office Building, Jackson, MS* (oversaw tenant planning and construction documents including Governor's Office)

David Dean

Business Development/PR Administrator, Senior Programmer

Education: Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts

CAREER DATA:

David brings 35 years of experience to the DD/A team. His responsibilities include identifying firm strengths, strategizing approaches to creating a presence in building types experiencing a growth cycle, and coordinating the efforts of staff involved in the pursuit of the identified target markets. His work encompasses the development of proposals, presentations, advertising materials, and the company webpage to promote DD/A and the firm's expertise in the design of facilities within target markets, as well as personal interaction with prospective clientele in a variety of disciplines.

In conjunction with business development and public relations responsibilities, David serves as a Senior Programmer for the firm. He has 24 years experience providing in-depth facility programming services, including preparation of studies and other planning documents in which research and written documentation is required to clarify the feasibility of project development.

Elizabeth Noblin

M. ELIZABETH NOBLIN
Business Development Associate

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Marketing, Summa Cum Laude
University of Mississippi

CAREER DATA:

Elizabeth has 16 years experience, having been involved in marketing and public relations on a number of levels prior to joining DDA seven years ago. She formerly served as Regional Admissions Counselor for the University of Mississippi ans Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs for the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Her current responsibilities encompass the identification of target markets, multi-level networking, strategy development, creative design input for the creation of promotional pieces and presentations, lead-tracking and follow-up, and coordination of trade show activities and news release/signage promotion. In addition, she represents the company in a public relations capacity to both public and private sectors.
