The Design Process involves intense interaction of designers in a collaborative effort with owner/users to develop a comprehensive program that sets forth the mission, aspirations, goals, societal issues and budgetary requirements for the project, in conjunction with thorough analysis of the site and its restrictions, opportunities and contextual considerations.

DD/A takes pride in the fact that the effective blending of the collaborative talents of a dedicated staff with this philosophy and design approach has resulted in numerous state, regional, and international awards for design excellence. Among the 38 awards received to date is the prestigious 25-year Honor Award from the Mississippi Chapter of the American Institute of Architects which affirms DD/A's ultimate design goal -- to create buildings of enduring quality and timelessness of style.
