The firm provided full architectural and interior design services for this $22.5 million expansion/renovation, which was one of the most complex and sophisticated projects ever designed in the state.

The project includes a 43,569 SF sanctuary to seat 3400, including a 250-seat choir and one of the largest pipe organs in the United States, plus new administrative, educational, kitchen/dining and fellowship hall spaces totalling 150,395 SF.

The fellowship hall seats 1,500 persons for theatrical/musical productions and 1,000 at meals, and the choir rehearsal room seats 500.

The project was awarded an AIA Membership Award for outstanding design, an Associated Building Contractors' Award of Merit, and two awards for design excellence from the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

The project was contracted with and produced by the predecessor entity of Dean/Dale and Dean Architects, P.A.
