CHURCH MASTER PLANNING SERVICES

Our project involvement in the specialized area of church master planning began in the mid-1970's with the master planning of the 360-acre Central Hills Baptist Retreat in Kosciusko, MS. Since that time, the firm has stressed master planning as a vital part of its scope of services. DD/A has been involved in providing master planning services on numerous major projects throughout the Southeast and beyond.

A facility Master Plan is a critical document for any significant church organization. It should serve as a comprehensive conceptual framework which establishes an overall pattern and clear, logical sense of order to the complex as a whole. It is necessary in order to ensure that the facility is more than just a collection of functions and spaces needed to accommodate religious activities. It is vital as an organizing tool which provides for essential flexibility, yet guides the design for “future change” – through both renovation and new construction – which is one of the absolutes of church architecture.
