ONE JACKSON PLACE The firm participated
as a member of a three-firm joint venture* to design this office building
for Eastover Corporation and the A.P. Keller Company. Rising 14 stories amid the Central Business District of downtown Jackson, MS, the $13 million office building represented Phase One of a proposed $100 million multi-user complex which was master planned on a 4-acre site. The building features 190,000 SF of prime office space and overlooks an indoor/outdoor multi-user public plaza. A major goal of the development was to enhance the quality of life for downtown workers by creating an open area for the performing arts. A National Endowment of the Arts matching grant to the Jackson Arts Alliance helped establish plaza activities, which included major arts and music festivals and weekly public lunch time performances. The project received an Honor Award for outstanding design from the American Society of Landscape Architects * The CB&D Group was a joint venture of Cooke, Douglass, Farr, Ltd, Barlow and Plunkett, and Dean/Dale and Dean Architects |
