DD/A is currently in the design development phase of a new comprehensive Cardiovascular Institute for the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The 108,800 SF project involves extensive renovations to the existing First Floor Hospital, along with 50,000 SF of new construction which together will accommodate consolidation of all of UMC’s inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services in one convenient location.

The project will include a full complement of Cardiac Catherization, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology and Interventional CT Labs, Nuclear Cardiology Exam/Testing areas, a Non-Invasive Cardiology Unit, a Prep/Holding Recovery Unit for Cath/Interventional procedures, as well as spaces for cardiac research, education and administrative offices for cardiovascular specialties.

The overall project budget, including equipment, is $51 million.
