Building on the dramatic success of the Outpatient Clinic Renovation in the Jackson Medical Mall, UMMC commissioned DD/A to design a comprehensive cancer diagnostic and treatment facility to be called the UMC Cancer Institute. Currently underway, this three-phase project budgeted at $11.16 million will encompass over 160,000 SF.
The Imaging Center and Radiation Oncology Treatment Center will incorporate a broad range of modalities such as PET scan, CT scan, and Linear Accelerator. In addition, the facility will provide office space for Administrative and Hematology/Oncology staff, plus research labs, animal holding and related support spaces.
