DD/A's design for MBMC's Hederman Cancer Center employs a curvilinear building form to effectively join with the northeast corner of the Baptist Medical Center to the south and the Colonnades Medical Office Building to the west. The $8.9 million facility consists of a four-level addition of 49,188 SF which interfaces with the existing Radiation Therapy Unit.

The overall complex provides a complete consolidation of services and support functions in one location, resulting in a comprehensive cancer diagnostic and treatment facility on the MBMC campus.

The project also includes offices for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, a cancer registry, and research activities.
