STONE/PEARL RIVER COUNTY
REGIONAL CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
Wiggins, Mississippi

DD/A provided full A/E services for the design of this correctional center comprised of two separate detention areas. As part of a contract with the State of Mississippi, the Stone/Pearl River County facility provides a separate and distinct intake, housing, administration, support services and recreation component within the facility to accommodate 250 minimum security state inmates.

Additional spaces within the facility were designed to meet the needs of the Stone County Sheriff, including Sheriff's offices, plus a 60-bed county jail component with support areas.

Simplicity of design coupled with selection of materials resulted in a secure, yet highly efficient and economical, detention facility. Construction costs for the 41,000 SF Center totalled $3.625 million.
