JASPER COUNTY JAIL
Bay Springs, Mississippi
DD/A provided full A/E services for the development of this county jail facility. Spaces within the building provide offices for the Jasper County Sheriff, plus a jail component with intake/booking, support services, recreation and housing to accommodate 70 inmates.
Siting of the jail was especially challenging since the Jasper County Board of Supervisors desired placement of the facility on an extremely cramped site located on county property to the rear of the county's court/administrative complex
Construction costs for the 13, 838 SF facility totalled $3.9 million.
