The firm was selected to redesign this prison complex. Approval by the Alabama Legislature paved the way for construction of the Clio facility which resulted in a savings of approximately $1.6 million to the State of Alabama over the original prison design.

Construction costs for the 13-building Clio complex totalled $14.5 million. Features of the 191,837 SF facility include five minimum security housing units (accommodating 110 inmates each) and one specialized housing building for medium security inmates (accommodating 50 persons), plus complete support functions.
